Polyurea coating technology constitutes a more recent and advanced system than the traditional ones used in waterproofing and protective coating applications.
The Polyurea technology is based on the reaction of an isocyanate component with an amine blend. The isocyanate can be of aromatic or aliphatic composition. This reaction is rapid, proceeding to completion within a few seconds, thus requiring specialized mixing equipment to be used by an application crew.
Substrate Preparation:
All substrates must be sound, dry, free from grease, dirt, or other contaminants, and must be reasonably smooth.
Mixing:
WD007 Polyurea Waterproofing Coating is a two-part system that consists of a base material and a catalyst. To apply the coating, the base material and catalyst must be mixed together in the correct ratio accordingly to our instructions.
Application:
The mixture should then be applied to the surface using a brush, roller, or sprayer. Once the coating has been applied, it should be allowed to dry for at least 24 hours before being exposed to moisture or other elements.
To ensure the best results, it is important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions when applying the coating.
Note:
Additionally, it is important to wear protective gear such as gloves, goggles, and a respirator when applying the coating.
